Timothy Wood Spencer
June 27th, 1952 - July 27th, 2013
Timothy Wood Spencer, age 61, of St. Petersburg, died in a car crash in Shanghai, China July 27th. , while on a business trip. He was raised in Canandaigua NY. After finishing Wooster Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts, Tim bicycled throughout the East Coast playing in chess tournaments. He lived and worked in Boston before moving to Florida in 1983 where he met and married Joanne Shea in 1987. For the past 30 years, he worked for MacDermid Inc., a chemical company based in Waterbury, Connecticut. With the globalization of the electronics' industry, he traveled worldwide. Tim was predeceased by his mother and father, Josephine and Harold Spencer. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Spencer, son Christopher Spencer, step daughter Candace Pendry, step grandson, Jason Dugmore, and brother, Terry (Mary) Spencer.
