A funeral service celebrating the life of Tina Carey Blackwell, 53, of Columbia will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ed Carney officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of the service on Monday at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the MUSC Foundation - Hollings Cancer Center, PO Box 250955 Charleston, SC 29425 in Tina?s memory. On-line condolences may be sent to www.greenlawnmemorialparkandfh.com. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mrs. Blackwell departed this earthly life on Friday, August 5, 2011. She was born in Winnsboro, SC on January 16, 1958 to W. Farrell Carey and Betty Taylor Ellison. Tina was formerly employed with the Seibels Bruce Group for 20 years and she was currently a Business Analyst with Duck Creek Technologies. Tina attended Riverland Hills Baptist Church. Tina was predeceased by her mother, Betty Taylor Ellison. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, Ronnie Lee Blackwell; a daughter, Stephanie Blackwell; a son, Travis Blackwell and his wife LeeAnn Blackwell; her father and step-mother, W. Farrell Carey and Fay Harper Carey; her sisters, Sharon Mitchum and her husband Kennie Mitchum, Renee Shealy and her husband Mark Shealy; three grandchildren, Madelyn Crapps, Evan Crapps, and Briceton Graber; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
