Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Toby R. Serrano
January 18th, 1974 - December 29th, 2013
Toby R. Serrano was born in Crystal City, TX. on January 18th, 1974. He was raised in Parma, ID., where he met the love of his life, Sara Manion. They were married when he was 18 and had their only child, Jo’el J. Serrano, 2 years later. Toby was a migrant worker at the age of 15. He worked at Holiday Packing for 12 years and worked at Extreme RV, which is now Warrior RV, off and on for 3 years. Toby was an amazing father, a loving husband and a new grandpa to a one month old little boy, who is his pride and joy. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing, saying that he felt at peace and relaxed when doing so. His best “fishing buddies” included Jay, Cole, Kevin, Jimmy, Jaime, and his son, Jo’el. He loved old cars and “low riders” and was working to restore a 1953 Belair with his son. He talked about all the future Power Wheels he wanted to buy for his grandson. Toby was always making people laugh and loved to crack jokes. He had a one of a kind sense of humor and his laughter will be greatly missed. He had a “tell it like it is “personality that will be missed as well. Toby is preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Ann Serrano, his nephew, Alonzo J. Leyva and a niece, Yasmine M. Herrera. He is survived by his wife, Sara, his son Jo’el, and daughter in law, Jasmine, grandson Jo’el J. Serrano Jr., parents, Graciela Rodriguez and Jesus DeLeon, his step father, whom he called his Dad, his biological father, Joe Serrano, brothers, Joe A. (Stella) Serrano, Jimmy “Scotty” Serrano, Tony Serrano, Guadalupe Serrano and Eddy Serrano. He is also survived by his sisters, Susana Serrano, Debbie (David) Herrera, Shanda L. (Leonel) Guzman, Barbie J. Herrera (Victor Escobar) and Holly (Jaime) M. Leyva. A viewing for Toby will be held Friday, January 3, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Condolences may be left at www.flahiffunerealchapel.com. Toby will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Toby, we love you. Service Information
