Obituary Tommy Lee Butner, 65, died August 16, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born to the union of Thomas M. Butner and Doris L. Morain on January 5, 1952 at Independence Asylum in Independence, Missouri. He retired after 37 years at Stresscon. He married Susan Kay Roten on June 30, 1972. He is survived by his son, Craig D. Butner; daughter, Magan K. Beckmann; grandsons, Scott L. Beckmann, and Samuel T. Beckmann; three brothers, Robert D. Whitworth, James S. Butner, and Floyd M. Butner; and four sisters, Hazel N. Paris, Dorothy R. Wilks, Georgia L. Leasure, and Vicki L. Butner. He is also survived by 32 nieces and nephews, 39 great-nieces and nephews, 23 great-great-nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, and many adopted kids. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, and one sister, Linda L. Baker. He loved to be outdoors, camping, fishing, going to the races, working on models, working at the Haunt, and working with his hands. He enjoyed being with his family and friends in Colorado, Missouri, and Tennessee. Tom will be greatly missed. Services Funeral Service
