Toni-Marie Cornell

Toni-Marie Cornell, 37, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away tragically on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017. Born on March 27th, 1980, in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of Thomas Edward Cornell and Pamela Jean Marx. Toni attended local schools. She loved to cook and in recent years had become a very spiritual person. She enjoyed music an dancing and had a knack for being creative, expressing herself mostly through her poetry and writing. Toni loved her children more than life and enjoyed drawing pictures for them. Toni is survived by her children, Ariana Vega, Isis Diaz, Nashali Feliciano, Neveah Cornell, Jahdiah Castro-Serrano, and Joseph Castro-Serrano Jr.; her mother Pamela (Nancy Warrick) Cornell; her sister Terrilynn Steinbruegge; her brother Joseph Costello; her nieces, Krystle Marrero, Jeishalee Costello, and Natiala Costello; her nephews, Damien Costello, Carmyne Costello, Derek Labutta Jr., Jamier Cornell-Degroat, and Darius Cornell-Degroat. Many more loving family and close friends also survive. The family would like to extend a big thank you for all of the support and comfort extended to them during this difficult time. The continued out pour of love and acts of kindness are sincerely appreciated and will never be forgotten. A Memorial Gathering for Toni will be held on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 from 6-8pm at the American Legion John Wyszomirski Post 701, 123 W Main Street, Amsterdam, NY.
