On November 17, 2015, Traci Anne Sigrist Cook, at the young age of 47, passed away in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous four-and-ahalf yearlong fight against brain cancer. Born November 11, 1968 in Denville, New Jersey,Traci grew up with her brother David in Milford. She attended Milford School, Delaware Valley Regional High School and Rutgers University. Traci is survived by her husband, Patrick Cook; father, John Sigrist; and mother Carole Sigrist. Traci traveled the United States following her passion and career as a naturalist and environmental educator. She finally found her husband and longterm position teaching at Cypress Gardens of Berkeley County.Traci retired from her 15 year position as Environmental Education Coordinator of Cypress Gardens in August of 2013 to focus on cancer treatments. Private memorials for friends and family will be held in Goose Creek, SC and Milford, NJ to celebrate her life.
