Tracie Lynne Holden

Tracie Lynne Holden, age 58, of the town of North, South Carolina, died surrounded by her family and her best friend on May 22nd, 2022. Tracie was born on January 20th, 1964 in Flint, Michigan. She was a former resident of Davison, Michigan and Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Tracie was a 1982 graduate of Davison High School where she excelled in athletics, especially softball and basketball. Tracie’s love and care for animals earned her many friends, both human and furry. Her athleticism and passion for sports never wavered, as she was a fervent fan of University of Michigan athletic teams. Tracie’s favorite pastimes throughout her life included participating in the American Heart Association Beach Ride each year with her father, beach walks in Florida, attending live music concerts, quickly making friends anywhere and everywhere, and being surrounded by the love of her family. She was a compassionate caregiver to her mother and rescued many animals whom she showered with much deserved kindness and care. Tracie is survived by her mother, Janice Holden; sister Tamara Nix (née Holden, husband Terry Nix); nephew Matthew Nix (partner Carlos Martinez); niece Amanda Horn (husband Aaron Horn); best friend and confidante Connie Latimer; many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many members of her “Florida Families”; furry friend, Bentley and her beloved pasture sour horse, Chevy. Tracie was preceded in death by her father, Terry Holden, in June of 2021.
