Travis Wayne Campbell, 37, of Elk Grove, California passed on October 5, 2017 in Amador County, California. Travis was born on January 8, 1980 in Sacramento County, California to George and Cindy Campbell. Travis' first younger years were in Elk Grove. The family then moved to Amador County in 1988. Travis played numerous years of Mother Lode Youth Soccer, was in Cub/Boy Scouts, played for the Amador Nuggets and also played basketball at Jackson Jr. High. Travis graduated from Amador High School in 1999. He then joined the United States Marines. After his service, he continued his schooling and training. As many know, Travis was a jack of all trades. He was a truck driver, heavy equipment operator, mechanic, metal fabricator, welder, bartender, bouncer, solar energy technician and certified Harley Davidson motorcycle technician. During the past year he also became even more loved, known as "The Barbeque Guy" at The Barn Café in Elk Grove (Wilton). Travis' business Backwoods Smoke House was also to open soon. Travis was a musician first, his true passion. He began writing and recording at 12 years old. He was self-taught on the guitar, bass, drums, piano and keyboard. He loved singing, creating and performing. Travis is survived by his parents George & Cindy Campbell (Elk Grove, Ca), sister Shantell Campbell & niece Grace Holland (Jackson, Ca), girlfriend Brenda Moody (Ione, Ca), Queensland Heeler named Bear that he called "Bubba" at home, many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends that became family to him, and many friends. Travis loved his family beyond words. He was preceded by his beloved Great-Grandparents Robert ‘Bob' Sr. & Beatrice Ramos, Grandparents Loyd & Betty Borud, Gramma Grace Ramos Windsor, aunts, and uncles. There are not enough words to describe my brother's authentic heart, soul, spirit. The man he was and the impact he made on so many of our lives. We are all blessed to have had the opportunity to experience his energy. He will live on in our hearts forever. His wishes were to be cremated and no burial services. We will have a Celebration of Life at a future time. The family has NOT asked for any donations. Thank you for the Love, prayers and comfort.
