Travis Marshall Thompson
July 17th, 1996 - September 12th, 2021
Travis passed away early Sunday morning in his sleep. Travis always wanted to be remembered for the life he loved, the lives he touched, and the life he lived. Travis was born on July 17th, 1996 in Longmont, Colorado, to his parents Mike and Ronda Thompson and was welcomed by his older siblings "bubba” Derek and "sissy” Alyssa. Travis grew up in Mead, Colorado where he lived until he graduated High School. Travis excelled in all subjects in school. In particular, he loved science and math. He graduated from Mead High School in 2014 with Honors. When not in school, Travis was usually found at the skatepark. He was an avid skateboarder and loved to challenge himself with new tricks. As he grew he also fell in love with riding dirt bikes. He loved music and taught himself to play the guitar and drums. He also enjoyed the outdoors: hiking, camping, and being surrounded by nature. Travis showed determination in everything he did. From a young age he showed strong work ethic as he worked with his father in his steel fabrication shop. After high school he attended Colorado State University but quickly learned that he didn’t require a degree to accomplish his career goals. Travis went to work with his dad at CH Yarber in Cheyenne, WY. Travis was recognized for his abilities and quickly rose through the ranks from a Fire Watch to Yard Manager to a Project Engineer. Most recent, he was offered the chance to train as an estimator. Travis is survived by his parents Mike and Ronda (Parent) Thompson, brother Derek, sister Alyssa and her husband Jeff and daughter Elliana Carlo, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Janet and Dan Thompson, Annette and Wayne Parent, and his Uncle Morris. Celebration of Life Service will be held at Viegut Funeral Home 1616 N Lincoln Ave Loveland, CO 80538 on Saturday September 18, 2021 at 1pm. A Viewing will be from 11am-1pm directly before the service.
