Truleen Marie Delgado Truleen Marie Delgado (71) of Springfield was born May 6, 1944 in Chicago. She passed away quickly and unexpectedly on March 18, 2016 at Riverbend Hospital due to influenza related heart failure. Her loving heart and acceptance of all will be missed. Tru was raised in Los Angeles, graduated from UC Santa Barbara, and raised her two daughters in Springfield, OR since 1979. She touched many lives in her work as a teacher and substitute teacher from 1980 till her passing. She was a active and connected community member who enjoyed travel, piano, swimming and yoga, and visiting her grandchildren. She traveled to over a dozen countries on six continents, including some brave humanitarian expeditions in Peru and Cambodia. Truleen's daughters, Tara and Dawn, and grandchildren, Aliya and Rajeh invite her friends to a Celebration of Life on Saturday 26th at 11:30am at Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene (to be followed in true Tru style by a potluck).
