Twila C. Denegar, 78 years old of St. Johnsville, NY died on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the St. Johnsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1934 in Barrytown, NY she was the daughter of the late Ralph Phillips and Celia Jones. She resided in Dutchess County before moving to Fort Plain in 1964 with her first husband, William Eggleston. In 1988 she moved to Albany and later married Vernon Denegar with who she moved back to the area in 1992. She was predeceased by her husband Vernon; and her brother, Ralph Phillips. Twila loved the country and art as a small child on. She painted some local historical sites, stage scenery for Lorraine's Dance Recitals, landscapes, portraits and much more. Survivors include her children, Gordon Christine Eggleston, Garth Candie Eggleston and Garlyn MaGinnis; five grandchildren, Gavin, Matthew, Willow, Griffin and Josephia; and two siblings, Frank Bogardus, Jr. and Betty Hermance. Services for Twila are private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie.
