Tyler Dean Johnson
December 5th, 1991 - June 15th, 2013
Tyler Dean Johnson passed away Saturday June 15, 2013 at Chambers Bay in University Place, WA at the age of 21 years old. His newest passion was longboarding and like everything else, he went big. Saturday afternoon, Tyler and his brother, Matthew, went to Chambers Bay to hang out together and longboard, and of course Ty went big. Unfortunately he met a corner he could not conquer. Who would have thought it would have been something so mundane to take Tyler down. He has survived fires, explosions, concussions, a car accident, and numerous other examples of poor decision making. He always said, “It seemed like a good idea at the time.” ...so many stories. He is survived by his parents, Dawn and Michael Delbridge, two brothers, Levi Looney and Matthew Delbridge, his girlfriend Kayla May, Great-Grandma Mary, Great grandparents Bill and Joyce, Oma Sharron, Grandpa John, Grandma and Grandpa Cavanaugh, Grandma Dee, Aunt Cindy & Uncle Jon, Aunt Mare & Uncle Tim, Aunts and Uncles Greg, Bret & Christina, Krista, Carrie, Nick and Brandi, and many cousins. Also Erica Braun, who put up with so many of his shenanigans (sorry about the burn marks). The Shack Squad; Nick, Tito, Trevor, Tim, Ashleigh, Mike, Andreas, Sydni and Brandon. His great friend Roy. Coach “Taz” Randall who influenced him greatly. Jay Wells and the Guys at Quality Office Design. There's so many people that Tyler loved and that loved Tyler it would be impossible to list you all; it does not mean you were not an important part of Tyler's life. HE LOVED YOU ALL!!! Please come celebrate Tyler on Friday, June 21st, at 4:00pm at Shepard of the Lakes Chapel, 4606 108th St. S.W., Lakewood, Wa. 98499. It will be an open casket. Everyone is encouraged to sign his casket. Bring photos, share stories, bring snacks or whatever else might comfort Tyler and all of us. Please spread the word, we want everybody to have the opportunity to be there. The more the merrier. This is such a great loss and is so incredibly sad. He would not want us to hurt so much, so let's come together to make it through the pain. Let's add some smiles to the tears. Tyler lived an epic life let us give him an epic goodbye!
