Tyrone Powell

Mr. Tyrone Powell 3-2-54 8-15-20 Tyrone lived his 66 years, just the way he wanted to! He was the fourth child, of Eleven Siblings. Tyrone enlisted, in the United States Marine Corps, at the tender age of 17, fresh out of Wellston High School, in Wellston, MO. His first airplane flight, was to Boot Camp, at Camp Pendleton North, San Diego County, California. Three months later, after his successful Boot Camp Training, Tyrone was shipped out to, Okinawa, Japan, for one full year. After serving two full years, in USMC, Tyrone was promoted to Lance Corporal, with an Honorable Discharge. The Family was so proud of his Accomplishments. Tyrone really lived his life to the fullest. He professed his Faith in Christ, while stationed in Japan, at 18 years of age. He traveled, extensively while enlisted, in USMC. He was stationed, at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, training facility, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He loved the Colorado Rocky Mountains, so much, he decided to move to, Denver, Colorado. He lived and thrived there, happily, while managing his Health Challenges, until the day he Transitioned, from his Earthly Body, to his Spiritual Realm. He loved the, Stock Market, and aspired to be a part of the, New York Stock Exchange one day. He loved all music, but his favorite was Jazz, just like his Father, Buddy. Everybody knows, Tyrone was a Real True Jokester, even to the end, when those of us, who were able to Zoom him at the hospital, know he had us all laughing, and smiling, as we visited with him. Tyrone’s last wishes, were to be Cremated, with his ashes, sprinkled at the base of Mt. Evans, in Denver. Tyrone will be honored by an, Interment Ceremony, by the USMC Honor Guard, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetary, St. Louis, Mo. There will be a Gun Salute, and the Playing of Taps, on the Bugle. He will receive, a Permanent Marker, engraved with his Name and Dates of Service, a Presidential Certificate, a Medallion, and a United States of America Flag, for his service to this Country. He leaves to Celebrate and Cherish his Life, his Ex-Wife, Ms. Catherine Thompkins, and from that Holy Union, three Beautiful and Precious Daughters. Mrs. Mashawa Afoaquah, (Ernest), the Eldest Daughter. (Precious), Ms. Marquichetta Powell, (Spence), the Second Eldest Daughter. (Peaches), and Mrs. Marquisa Tatum, (Shawn), (Joy). His Eleven Grandchildren are Ms. Jayde Powell, 33, Mrs. Jasmine Neely, 31, (Marvin), Mr. Tysean Thomas, 30, Ms. Chanel Roark, 29, Ms. Diana Powell, 29, Ms. Lashawnica Tatum, 26, Mr. Zion Tatum, 20, Mr. Khalil Johnson, 23, Mr. Antonio Love, 16, Mr. Moses Powell, 13, Mr. Troy Powell, 12. His Ten GreatGrandChildren are, Mr. Jayven, 10, Mr. Tysean Jr., 8, Ms. Lyric, 7, Mr. Chase, 4, Mr. Legend, 4, Ms. Ava, 4, Ms. Lylah, 3, Ms. Aulani, 2, Mr. Keavanti, 16, Mr. Legacy, NewBorn! Tyrone has six living siblings, who will lovingly miss him. Mr. Marvin Powell, St. Louis, MO., Mr. Marcus Powell,(Patricia), Indianapolis, IN., Mr. Marcell Powell, St. Paul,MN., Mr. Maurice Powell, St. Paul, MN., Mr. Mario Powell, St. Louis, MO., and Mr. Derrik Powell, St. Paul, MN. Also to cherish Tyrone’s Life are , a Host of Loving Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, In-laws, and Friends. He was Preceded in Death, by his two Loving Mothers. Mrs. Thelma Powell, and Mrs. Ella Powell. His Courageous Father, Mr. Marshall Powell, (Buddy). A very Precious, Younger Brother, Mr. Antonio Powell, (Tony). Another Caring, Younger Brother, Mr. Jerome Powell, (Linn). an One Year Older Loving Brother, Mr. Marlowe Powell. A One and Only, Older, Protective Sister, Mrs. Marsha Bevels, (David), and a Wonderful Aunt Cordee, who raised her, in an Most Excellent way. Aunt Ruth, and more recently, Aunt Ginny.
