Valerie Susan Henage

Valerie Susan (Burt) Henage was born on May 17, 1971 in Walnut Creek, CA to Gregory Burt and Patricia Barch. She passed on June 17, 2018 at home in New Plymouth, ID after a short illness. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday June 30th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in New Plymouth. Condolences may be made to Val's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Val spent her early years living in Concord, Pleasant Hill, and Martinez (CA). In her middle teens she also lived in Stockton, CA. She attended College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, while living with her grandmother, Genevieve Burt (deceased). She was also predeceased by her stepfather George Barch. She was blessed with two daughters, Rachel and Kristen, and step children Madison and Matthew Henage. She was their loudest fan, at wrestling, motocross, and cheer-leading, and encouraged their education at every level. She was also very proud of her daughter Rachel watching her accomplish all of her career goals and being a wonderful mother to her precious grandchildren she loved so much, as well as Kristen always having a big loving heart and positive attitude and becoming the young lady she is. Her survivors include her loving husband and best friend Jeremy, mother Patricia Barch, father Gregory Burt (Sharon), daughters Rachel Sanchez (Marcus) and Kristen Burt, stepchildren Madison and Matthew Henage, sisters Sara Barch Childress (John) and Katie Burt, brothers Ben Barch (Jessica), and Andy Burt (Lauren), adored grandchildren Teagan Burke and Logan Sanchez. They and Val's many extended family members and friends will miss her dearly, as she had a big heart and was always willing to help others in need. We'll love her forever. Service Details.
