Valerie Ann Holley, age 54, of Sacramento and temporary resident of Yuba City, California, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 23, 2014. Valerie was born at Westover Air Force Base in Springfield, Massachusetts. The fifth daughter of seven children to the marriage union of John and Evelyn Holley.Valerie attended several schools across the United States and Europe. She graduated from Wheatland Union High School, earned her bachelor degree from the University of California at Davis and her master's degree from the University of Phoenix in Information Technology. She obtained the Project Management Professional, PMP Certification, graduated from the Information Technology Managers Academy, ITMA. 2008 graduate of the Information Technology Leaders Academy, ITLA, and also taught at the University of California at Davis and Phoenix University.Valerie worked for the State of California for 30 years in various positions and departments. Her last position was with the Office of Legislative Counsel as a Technology Deployment Manger.Valerie regularly attended Crossroads Community Church, of Yuba City, California, where she was an active member.Valerie is survived by her mother, Evelyn P. Holley of Yuba City, California; siblings, Dedra Holley Agnimel of Cote D' Ivorie, Africa, Tyrena Holley of New Delhi, India, LaTrice Holley of Sacramento, California, Carlotta Holley, of The Woodlands, Texas; and Christopher Holley and wife, Kellie, of Sacramento, California. Uncle, Mr. Joseph Holley and wife, Rocella, of Miami, Florida. Nephews and nieces, Jean-Vincent Agnimel, Taylor Holley, Christopher Holley Jr., Kamryn Holley, Mr. Carlton Holley, cousin of Atlanta, Georgia. Grand nephews and niece, Elijah Agnimel, Trey Agnimel and Evelyn Agnimel. And a host of relatives and the many friends she leaves to celebrate her life. Her father, John Thomas Holley Sr., and brother, John Thomas Holley Jr., preceded her in death.A memorial service will be held Monday, December 15, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Crossroads Community Church located at 445 B Street, Yuba City, California 95991. Funeral arrangements by Ullrey Memorial Chapel of Yuba City. A private internment will be at Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, California.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the John T. Holley Scholarship Foundation P.O. Box 2492, Sacramento, CA 95812 or the Breast Cancer Association.
