March 9th, 1954 - January 20th, 2022
Novak, Valerie, 67, of Nampa, passed away on January 20, 2022 due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease. She was surrounded by family with love. She was born on March 9, 1954 to John and Inez Warning in Council, Idaho. After graduating from New Meadows High School in 1972, she went on to marry Douglas R. Hamrick on December 16, 1972. During their three year marriage they had one daughter Dawn Marie Hamrick (Laursen). Following Doug’s death in 1975 Valerie moved to Boise, Idaho where she attended Boise State University. Then later met and married Thomas Novak on May 19, 1979. Tom and Val went on to have a daughter, Tiffany J. Novak (Wiggins). When her youngest daughter, Tiffany, started Kindergarten Valerie began working in the School Food Service Industry, which remained her occupation for several years. She then took a position with Valley View School District working as a tracker aid for high-risk children. Later on she worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for the St. Luke’s Health System. After returning to the Food Service Industry, she worked for Kuna School District at Crimson Point Elementary where she retired at the age of 62. Throughout Valerie’s life her children and family were her priority. She enjoyed camping, horseback riding, Boise State Football, four-wheeling and baking. She had a love for big and small animals, especially her little dog, Lilly. She loved to watch and support Dawn and Tiffany during their youth. She took pride in cheering them on during any of their activities. She was intricately involved in the girls’ sports, 4-H, rodeo and queening. She never missed a game, competition or chance to volunteer to help. Valerie lived a very full and happy life. She was loved by her family, her two daughters and seven grandkids. Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
