Vanessa Ann Aldi

Vanessa Ann Aldi, 37, of Schenectady, NY formerly of Amsterdam, passed away on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at Ellis Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Amsterdam NY on October 10, 1979, a daughter of Michele Aldi and Cari Watkins. She was a lifelong area resident and attended Amsterdam High and Lakeside High School in Angola, NY. Vanessa was employed for Breton Industries in Amsterdam for a time. Survivors include her parents Michele Aldi (Jen Reinken) of Amsterdam, Cari Aldi (Earl Goodsill) of Fultonville, NY. Brother, Michel Aldi III (Serena) of Schenectady, NY. Sister, Shannon Aldi (Austin) Hogan of Fonda, NY. Nieces and nephews, Michele Aldi IV, Domenico and Gianna Aldi. God Children, Ashley Moynihan and Katrina Carey. The extended Watkins Family and her companion, Manny Hernandez of Schenectady, NY , also survives. Vanessa leaves behind her beloved Pet Pug dogs, Harley and Izzy. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Green Hill Cemetery, Amsterdam with Rev. Cynthia Leonard presiding. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA or any pet rescue.
