Vaughn Ardell Burlingame
September 4th, 1928 - December 25th, 2018
Vaughn Burlingame was born to George and Edna Burlingame of Pacific Beach Washington on September 4, 1928. He was the youngest of six children and adored by all. Vaughn married Ruth Haworth on November 1, 1946. Together they raised a family of six children – Dennis, Donald, Beverly, Vaughn Jr., Wilma and Susan. Vaughn was the proud Grandfather of 29 Grandchildren, plus many great and great great grandchildren. Most of their years were spent in the Willamette Valley, where Vaughn worked on farms, in sawmills and finally as a heavy equipment mechanic, before retiring to Canby, Oregon. He was a long-time member of the Friends Church and in his later years attended the Canby Evangelical Church. His beloved Wife Ruth, of 60 years, preceded him to heaven in 2007, as did his youngest son Vaughn Jr. in 2011. On Christmas Day 2018 Vaughn, while surrounded by his family was born into a new life in heaven where he was welcomed into the loving embrace of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his family members who had gone before. A memorial service will be held on December 31, 2018 at 12:30 pm at Canby Evangelical Church.
