Velma Shore Jaudon, 94, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2014. Velma was born on October 30, 1919 in West Palm Beach, FL the daughter of Fred and Mable Shore. Velma is survived by her devoted and dedicated husband of 72 years, James E. “Sonny” Jaudon and four sons; James (Anne) of Ocala, Fred of West Palm Beach, Jeffrey (Jan) of Bradenton and Jon (Marcia) of Blacksburg VA as well as 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Velma was preceded in death by her parents and sister Delores. Velma, “Mama J”, was a passionate and caring person who placed her family foremost in her thoughts and deeds. She will be deeply missed. A private celebration of Velma’s life will be held in West Palm Beach on March 1, 2014. Velma’s family would like to express our deepest gratitude and respect to the staff at Tidewell Hospice in Lakewood Ranch for giving her peace and dignity in her final hours.
