Velma Nesiba
May 18th, 1924 - December 29th, 2007
Velma was born in Farwell, Nebraska on May 18, 1924. Velma married Edward Nesiba on May 22, 1941 and lived in Ravenna, Nebraska until her illness upon which time she moved to Puyallup, Washington to live with her oldest son Mel and daughter-in-law Carol who she loved the best and her youngest son Donald and wife Kathleen. Anita and her husband Jim care for Velma in their home. Velma loved to garden and canned extensively. Velma lived a very fulfilling and an extremely extraordinary life. Velma was preceded in death by her beloved Husband Edward. Velma will be laid to rest in Ravenna, Nebraska beside the love of her life. Survivors include her sisters Irene and Emma, beloved grandson Eric Nesiba, son Bob and wife Ellie Nesiba, grandchildren Jason and wife Dawn, Jeffrey and wife Jessica, Anita and husband James, Rachel and husband Charleton, great grandchildren Joshua, Jordan, Kyle, Ainsley, Ema, Joshua and Jordan. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Velma's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th floor, New York , NY 10001. The family wishes to thank Olympic Alzheimer's Residence for their kindness to Velma. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday January 3, 2008 in the Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Chapel, 5436 South Puget Sound Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98409, (253) 472-3353.
