Vera Jameson Born in Morning Sun township, Iowa to Earl and Ruth (Loper) Springsteen. The youngest of seven children, who all preceded her in death. She married C Robert Jameson, from Birmingham, Iowa on September 5, 1944. They were married at the Methodist parsonage, by Rev. R. Vernon Pike. Shortly after being married, they moved to Springfield, Oregon. Traveling with her sister Genevieve Crist. They made their home at 134 J street. Later they purchased a home in West Eugene, Oregon, where they lived for the next fifty plus years. Vera was a charter member of Berean Baptist Church, serving on the mission boards and pastoral search committees. She was an accomplished cook, cooking for high school, college and marriage retreats. She was the cook at camp Harlow for many years in the 1960s. In 1972 she was hired as the kitchen service manager for Eugene Bible College, retiring in 1992. She volunteered with the International students on the U of O campus serving lunches, and at the Eugene Mission cooking and playing piano for the chapel services. She cooked for First Baptist church at their annual mission banquets. She is survived by five children. Ruth Wardrip of White City, Or. Marvin of Corvallis, Or. Paul, Ken and Mark of Eugene, Or., six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Berean Baptist Church, 1210 Chambers st, Eugene, Or on May 12 at 3:00pm.
