Verda Faye Slaton passed away December 17, 2023. Verda was born August 27, 1938, to Herman and Irene Meineke in Padroni Colorado. She was the youngest child out of fourteen. She had six brothers and seven sisters. She was employed by Weld County and Arapahoe County Welfare Services for 44 years. She is survived by one sister, Mary Verlene Gideon of Greeley Colorado with whom Verda lived with for over 25 years. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, and great nephews and great nieces. She was a great cook and avid gardener and especially loved her rose bushes. Verda was also a big fan of the Denver Broncos. Cremation will take place per Verda’s wishes. A Life Celebration for Verda will be on December 21st at 1:00PM at Adamson Life Celebration Home with a reception to follow. She was loved and will be missed by many family and friends.
