Verna M Hoppe

Verna Mae Hoppe, aged 82, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born to a life filled with joy and compassion, Verna devoted her years to nurturing those around her with her unwavering love and kindness. Verna was born on April 20, 1942 in Belle Plaine to Walter and Myrtle Erickson (Hurtig). She was raised on a farm and graduated in 1960. She lived in North St Paul 31 years and North Branch for 24 years. Verna is survived by Harold, her cherished husband of 61 years, her two daughters, Juliane (Brook) Danner, Holly (Tony) Parsons, grandchildren, Amanda Parsons, Kyle Parsons, Harrison Danner and Hailey Danner, her beloved cat Deja, who knew her as the heart of their family. She leaves behind a legacy of gentle strength and unselfishness, characteristics that will forever resonate with her loved ones. An avid cat lover, Verna found immense joy in the companionship of animals, and her home was rarely without the pitter-patter of furry feet. Her compassion was not only felt by her family but extended to all creatures great and small. A private family burial will be held to honor Verna's wishes. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local animal shelter, a cause close to Verna's heart. Verna Mae Hoppe's kindness, warmth, and spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
