Verneda Jayne Stiles

Verneda Jayne Stiles was born February 23, 1949 in Seattle, WA. She died at home on November 23, 2020 after a ruptured intestine and perforated ulcer put her in the hospital in mid-Oct. She returned home with hospice comfort care and remained feisty until she died in her sleep at home with family. The only child of Ed & Verna Thornton, she spent her childhood in Lakewood, WA. She married and raised her four children in Orting, WA. She never missed an event or sport that her children participated in, cheering loudly from the stands for them and all their friends. She was a second mom to many kids growing up in Orting and beloved by everybody who met her. She was feisty, spunky, and known to speak her mind. She was an avid collector of cookie jars, with more than 100 on display. She was preceded in death by her partner of 30 years, Charlie Boster. She is survived by her daughter Dana (Evan) Davies, twin sons Daniel (Delilah) and Nathaniel (Kim) Stiles and youngest Timothy Stiles and 4 grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
