Vernon William Perkins, age 87, of LaBelle, passed away August 8, 2018 in LaBelle. He was born Oct. 30, 1930 in Offerman, GA, to the late Abb and Carrie (Franklin) Perkins. He was a former resident of West Palm Beach and has lived in LaBelle since 1977. Survivors include his wife: Nellie Pearl (Poole) Perkins, four sons: Danny W. (Deborah Diane) Perkins, David Vernon Perkins, Randy Wayne Perkins and Richard Dale Perkins all of LaBelle, FL, and three daughters: Carolyn Diane (Gary) Frost of Orlando, FL, Pamela Jean Hardcastle and Katherine Annette Perkins both of LaBelle, FL, one sister: Geraldine Davis, 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers: (Junior) Abberson Perry Perkins Jr., (JC) Julian Cardell Perkins, Clinton Harmon Perkins and a sister Caldeen (Perkins) Kelley. The family will receive friends at the Akin-Davis Funeral Home 560 E. Hickpochee Ave. Labelle on Monday August 13th from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday August 14th at 10 AM at Eastside Baptist Church, LaBelle with Pastors Wm. Ashley Butler and Don Murray officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Denaud Cemetery. Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle.
