VERNON TAYLOR Church Hill - Vernon Wendell Taylor, 61, of Church Hill, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday morning (March 3, 2018) at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Scott County, Virginia and had lived in Church Hill for the past 24 years. Vernon worked at Asbury at Baysmont for many years. He loved being around his family and especially his children and grandchildren. Mr. Taylor was an active member of New Fellowship Ministries. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Frances Taylor. Vernon Taylor is survived by his loving wife, Anniebelle Taylor; his son, Timothy Wayne Taylor; two step-sons, Eddie Butler and Michael Butler; six step-grandchildren; a sister, Diane Dishner and husband, Greg; a brother, Chris Taylor; special aunt, Annie Winegar; his great niece, Adriane Flanary along with his best friends, Rick Goins and David Hall. The family will receive friends on Tuesday (March 6, 2018) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at New Fellowship Ministries located in Church Hill. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday (March 6, 2018) at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Tom Collins and Rev. Paul Blessing, officiating. Music will be provided by Rejoicing Hearts and the Collins family. A graveside service will follow the funeral service at Holston View Cemetery with Timothy Taylor, Keith Ramey, Donald Lawson, David Hall, Rick Goins, and Dr. David Schillings serving as pallbearers.
