Vicki Jean Skinner

On March 4, 2024, the world lost a truly remarkable human, Vicki Jean Skinner. She was born in Hudson, South Dakota on March 2,1952 to Clifford and Henrietta Jonnes. She spent her life as a homemaker taking care of her family, dedicating herself to creating a warm and loving home for those she loved. Vicki’s joy in life was her grandchildren, all kinds of animals, and the plants she so tenderly cared for. Her influence on her kids and grandkids will last a lifetime. She was a shrewd judge of character and she deeply understood those she loved. She gave of her time freely and was the first call from her children when they needed something. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Henrietta and Clifford Jonnes. She leaves behind her daughter, Jessica Skinner-DuBose and son-in-law Joel “Dallas” Dubose, sister, Lois “Dodie Jonnes, grandson, Zachary Poston as well as her surrogate daughter Korie Sharp and her children; Charlie and Nettie Sharp. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched and the memories that will forever be cherished. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the remarkable woman she was and honor her by carrying forward the love and kindness she so freely gave. Rest in peace, Vicki Jean Skinner - your light will forever shine bright.
