Day, Victor S. ?Vic?, 86, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, December 4th, 2002. He was born in Golcar, England and came here in 1980 from Mansfield, OH. He was a professional musician and played in the Akron, OH symphony for 18 years. He also had several jazz bands in Mansfield. He taught bass and classical guitar for 23 years as a special instructor at Ashland College in Ashland, OH and then taught for 3 years at Wooster College in Wooster, OH. He also owned his own commercial advertising and photography business, Vic Day Photography in Mansfield. He was a Gold Card Life Member of Musicians Local #159; Masonic Lodge #35; Fraternal Order of Eagles; Moose Lodge #341; Order of the Owls #152; Sons of Hermans #14; and Sons of Hermans Horse Club, all in Mansfield, OH; Al Koran Temple in Cleveland, OH; American Federation of Musicians Tampa Bay Local #427; and Life Member of BPOE #2217 in St. Petersburg. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Christine P. Day; 2 daughters, Mae Anne Sabri Plodzein of Mansfield, OH; Vicki Furuki of Lakewood, OH; 1 sister, Bernice Kilgore of Lucas, OH; 5 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-McLeod Chapel.
