Victor Politi

Victor Politi , 84, of Broadalbin, NY, passed away Thursday December 15, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital with his loving family at his side. Born in San Jose de las Lajas, Cuba on January 10, 1932 a son of the late John and Caridad Gomez Politi Sr. He was employed at G.E. in Schenectady at the Turbine Services Division for over 18 years. Victor was an avid Yankees Fan and Boxing fan, he enjoyed gardening and hobby farming. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith. He married Lucy Brizuela Politi on December 29, 1950. In addition to his loving wife survivors include his son, Victor (Angela) Politi Jr. of Middle Grove, NY. Three daughters, Gricell (Edward) Marsland of Rhode Island, Tina (Lance) Winney of Broadalbin and Lucy (Kenneth) Boerenko of Galway, NY. One brother, Anthony Polito of Saratoga Springs, NY. Two sisters, Carmen Reyes of Puerto Rico and Maria Politi of Schenectady, NY . Eight cherished grandchildren, Sara Pantalone, Lindsay Van Auken, Kristina Marsland, Gabriella Politi, Rachele Winney, Nicholas Politi, Victoria Grace Politi and Lukas Politi. Two great-grandchildren, Dominic Van Auken and Daniel Pantalone. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was predeceased by his brothers Eduardo "Vive" M. Politi and John Politi. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at 1:00PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, with Father O. Robert DeMartinis presiding. Interment will be in the Spring in St. Basil's Cemetery, Broadalbin,NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday December 20, 2016 prior to the funeral service from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at the funeral Home.
