Victoria Diane Baker Victoria (Vicki) Diane (Roragen) Baker passed away on November 24, 2018. At the time of her passing she was a resident of Cottesmoore of Life Care Center in Gig harbor, WA where she was struggling to recover from the effects of a meningioma brain tumor and its treatment(s). Vicki was born to Lawrence and Madeline (Erstad) Roragen on May 11, 1944 in Fertile, MN. Theirs was a large family including brothers, Kenneth, Truman, Cyrus, Terry, Lauren & Randy and sisters, Lorena, Roselie, Ardith& Audrey. Her mother remarried when Vicki was a teenager adding step-father, Owen Hoffman and two step-sisters, Joyce and Betty to the family. The family lived in various parts of Minnesota and Montana until 1962, when they relocated to Seattle, WA. Since that time she has resided primarily in Western Washington with a few years in Yakima, WA. Vicki had three children, Kay Lynn, Robert (Bobby) and Dianna. She married Robert Baker in 1966 adding step-children, Charles (Chuck) & Kathy to her family. The family enjoyed camping, dirt bike riding and spending time with extended family. She was primarily a stay at home mom until her children were grown when she worked in retail until her retirement. Vicki enjoyed all sorts of crafts from cake decorating to doll making, crocheting to ceramics. She always had 5 or 6 in process with a few more in closets. She enjoyed to go on road trips which inevitably led to some crazy short cut, but she always ended up where she intended. She also enjoyed bingo and the local casinos on occasion. Her ladies circle brought her great enjoyment where she enjoyed crafts alongside her friends. Above all she loved her family & friends, both near & far. Vicki was preceded in death by her son (Bobby), both of her parents, her step-father, and siblings Kenneth, Cyrus, Ardith, Randy, Joyce & Betty. She is survived by siblings, Lorena, Truman, Roselie, Terry, Audrey, & Lauren, daughters Kay Lynn & Dianna, several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many extended family members. The family extends immense gratitude to all who helped us through this difficult time, particularly the staff at Cottesmoore. There will be a memorial at the Lakeview Chapel located at 4606 108th St SW, Lakewood WA on December 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow 2-5:00PM at the attached hall. ~ Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as I were beside you there ~ -Isla Paschal Richardson - Arrangements by Edwards Memorial, Funerals Homes, Chapels and Crematories. 253-566-1008
