Victoria Jan Robinson

Victoria Jan Robinson of Sutter Creek, CA, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson at the age of 72. She was born in San Francisco, CA on January 3, 1942 to the late Robert and Lilian (Leishman) Fields. Victoria grew up on a farm in Biggs, CA and was the traditional farm girl. She was an amateur artist in her younger years and later dabbled in photography. Victoria married Lewis Robinson on August 5, 1961in Biggs, CA. Victoria enjoyed physical exercise and gardening, keeping her garden immaculate. She taught elementary school at Ione Elementary for 18 years, two years at Pioneer Elementary, and loved the kids. Victoria received the Teacher of the Year award five years ago. Her family was her lifeline and she put love into all that she did. She was characterized by her natural kindness and outgoing personality. She enjoyed traveling the world with her family, mom, and friends. Every year they explored a new destination. Victoria is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lewis Robinson of Sutter Creek; sons, Paul Robinson and his wife, Grace of Cupertino, CA, Matthew Robinson and his wife, Katie of Biggs, CA; grandchildren, Joshua Robinson, Timothy Robinson, Levi Miller. She was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Fields. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson, CA at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 10, 2014.
