Vincent Tomasello passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2009. He was a Monterey native, until he moved to Salinas in 1993m after retiring form Pacific Bell. He belonged ot the Pacific Grove Golf Club and had been a avid golfer before his illness. He also enjoyed bowling. He left behind his Wife, Jo ann of the family home, Son; Chris Tomasello, Daughter; Shelly and Bill Barr, both from Seaside, Stepchildren; Allen and Noemi Hall, Bill Hall, and Linda Glenn from Salinas, along with five grandchildren. He also left behind two sisters; Gloria and Gene Taylor from Clovis and Mary Ann Homen from Del Rey Oaks. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Carmen and Joseph Tomasello and Son; Marty Tomasello.

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
