Vincenza Jennie Recesso

Mrs. Vincenza ?Jennie? Diodato Recesso, age 92, formerly of Gloversville, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at Oak Knoll Health Care Center, Framingham, MA; where she has resided for eleven years. She was born October 7, 1913 in Gloversville, NY, the daughter of Louis and Mary Trimarco Diodato. She was a glove maker at several companies in the Fulton County area, including the former Sanges Glove Company in Gloversville. She also was a baker in the kitchen at Nathan Littauer Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Mary of Mount Cramel Church. Jennie was married to Salvatore Recesso on October 23, 1932. He died August 16, 1989. Survivors include six children, John Recesso of Andover, MA; Mary Jane White of Broadalbin, Joseph Recesso of Coventry, CT; James Recesso of Delanson, Joan Recesso Jones of Hubbardston, MA and Julie Brown of Dudley, MA; a brother, Vito Diodato of Gloversville; a sister, Henrietta Ballo of Florida; 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine Mittachione and brother, Fred Diodato. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Friday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St.; Gloversville, where a prayer service will be conducted 9:15 am Saturday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Gloversville. The Very Rev. Donald Czelusniak will be the celebrant. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Knoll Health Care Center, 9 Arbetter Dr; Framingham, MA 01701.
