Viola C. Alires, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 13, 1936 in Llano, NM. Viola was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanette; and her parents, Anacleto and Estefania Medina. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Andy Alires; her children, Joyce Medina (Orlando), Marvin Alires (Maria), Larry Alires (Dolores), Randy Alires (Roxanne), Cindy Torres (Joey), Chrystal Alires, and Gary Alires (Cindy); grandchildren, Steven Torres (Yvette), Kim Torres, Andrew Torres, Audrey Lopez (Matt), Michael Medina, Priscilla Parrilla (Geraldo), Joshua Alires (Annmarie), Anthony Alires (Trish), Chris Alires, Michael Mondragon, Marissa Alires, Angelique, Mariah, Ashaia, Emmanuel Alires, Daniel, Monica, and Richard Araiza; great-grandchildren, Destiny & Pete Joseph Gallegos, Latrelle, Shai, Irylan, Peyton, Meliki Torres, Jacob, Coastis, Quinston, Andy Torres, Matthew Jr, & Malaiah Lopez, Celine Alires & Abel Parrilla, Lupio Alires & Alliysa Alires, and Antonio & Aaron Alires. All services will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, beginning with viewing at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Grants Memorial Park.
