Viola Hardy Matherly
November 3rd, 1921 - June 21st, 2016
Viola Hardy Matherly, 94 of Greensboro, passed away Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital. A graveside service will be held 12:00 PM Friday at Lakeview Memorial Park with Reverend Joseph Kim officiating. Mrs. Matherly was born in Guilford County on November 3, 1921 to the late Thomas Hardy and Annie Hardy. She retired from Cone Mills after 38 years and was a member of Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy O. Matherly, and son, Bobby Matherly. Surviving is her son, Tom Matherly and wife Joyce of Troy, NC ; daughter in law, Kay Matherly of McLeansville, NC; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
