Online Obituaries for Lexington, Frankfort, and Versailles KY Frankfort- Virgil H. Peyton, 89, husband of Mandy Ellen Peyton, passed away Wednesday March 25, 2015. He was born in Shelby County to the late William Marcus and Minnie Hopper Peyton on January 4, 1926. He worked for Columbia gas for 33 years and was a member of Holly Hill Church of Christ. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters Judy Hensley, of Winchester; Priscilla Peyton, of Frankfort; his sons Virgil David (Myra) Peyton, of Millville; Sherman (Gail) Peyton, of Frankfort; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Virgil was preceded in death by his daughters Polly Mary Houchin; Carol Hensley; his son-in-laws Bobby Houchin; Wilson Hensley; his brothers Charles Peyton; William Peyton; Clayton Peyton; his sisters Evelyn Cunningham; and Lucille Dorsey. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held 1:00pm on Monday March 30 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Reverend Steve Smalls and Reverend Bryan Dill will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Marc Peyton, Shawn Peyton, Dale Hensley, Trevor Tingle, Paul Hensley, and Wes Hensley. Honorary casketbearers will be Lacresha Smith, Ashley Mayes, Lisa Hopkins, and Amanda Hazlett. Visitation will be from 11:00am until start of service.
