Evanoff, Virginia A (nee Pope) 86, of Oro Valley, AZ entered into eternal life on June 24, 2021, peacefully at her home. She was born in Belleville, Illinois and she resided in Illinois, Oklahoma, and California before moving to Arizona 37 years ago. Virginia (Virgie) was a communicant of Saint Odilia's RC Church in Oro Valley. She worked as a substitute teacher. She had a passion for sports and was an avid golfer, belonging to Skyline and Oro Valley Country Clubs. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years George Anthony Evanoff in 2020, her parents John Morgan Pope and Theresa Heisler Pope, her brother Jackson Pope and her daughter Nancy Zahn (wife of Phillip Zahn). Virgie is survived by her devoted children George Evanoff and his wife Claudia of Kauai, HI, Mark Evanoff and his wife Ramona of Tucson, AZ, John Evanoff and his wife Marilyn of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Evanoff and his wife Ellen of Tucson, AZ. Her cherished grandchildren and step-grandchildren are Anika, Janik, Alina, Niklaus, Hendrick, Tasha, Bethany, Liesl, Mark, Nicole, Christopher, Jon, John David, Paul, Alex, Elizabeth, Andrew, Stephanie, Kandice, Brooklyn, Thomas, Steven and Matthew, and many cherished great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. A mass was offered at Saint Odilia's Church in Virgie's memory and arrangements were made by the Adair Funeral Home in Oro Valley. Donations in her memory can be sent to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum.
