Virginia "Ginger" Lauck was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, Cousin, Aunt, Nana and Yaya. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by those who knew and loved her most. She is survived by her husband Ronald with 26 years of marriage. She had 4 children; Tommy Leeper, Amber Leeper, Rebecca Leeper and Deborah Hardy. She has 18 grandchildren; Patrick, Ronald, Frances, Brian, Anna, Katelyn, Isabella, Olivia, Ava, Cash, Kayden, Austin, Trevor, Brookelynn, Chloe and Tommy Reece, Ricki and Willie. Ginger was born in Monterey, California on August 20th, 1958. She attended school in California, enjoyed hunting with her father and was a volunteer fire fighter. Everyone around knew Ginger for her sarcastic humor and huge beautiful smile. She later moved to Washington state with her parents and grandmother. After moving into their home in Tacoma, WA, fun times began. Friends and family were always over on weekends for BBQ's and parties. Ginger, during this time, enjoyed painting lighthouses by the shores, knitting blankets and taking care of her family whenever she could. As her grandchildren started coming, Ginger found herself always having a house full of running kids, cracker crumbs and bottles. Ginger was known as Nana to all her grandchildren. Everyone loved going to Nanas. Ginger was an joyful spirit who told it how it was. She was very intellectual and loved learning about history and geneoligy. She loved her family and always lended a hand or gave a word to help. She was adament and proud to have been survived by her loving husband Ron. She would never hesitate to call and let everyone know that she just received a 3lb box of chocolates on special occasions. Grandpa Ron was her rock. And took care of her better than anyone ever could. Nana enjoyed spending her time with family. Her srength was her heart and her selflessness. She will never be forgotten. Her sister Janice said it best "she was invited to a party in heaven and we were not".We hope she has found the peace that she needs and the people who have been waiting for her. We are excited for her, that she is free of pain and is free to enjoy the things she always talked about wanting to do. We will all continue to work to make her proud and will see her again someday. We know in our hearts she will continue to watch over those who depended on her so very much. She will always be loved. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday August 19th 2014 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Edwards Memorial Lakewood 11020 S. Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA 98499. Please share memories at the guestbook above.
