Barhams were descended from several prominent figures in English history including Siward (1000-1055), Earl of Northumbria (mentioned prominently in Shakespeare's MACBETH). Virginia (Virgie) graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1944 as Valedictorian of her class. She later attended Arizona State Teacher's College when it later became Arizona State College under Grady Grammage. In 1958 it became ASU. In 1945 Virginia married Robert Weddel Posey and started a family. There were 3 children born to this union: Steve (Ginny) of Tucson, AZ, Ed (deceased 1997) and Kathy Schoentag (Ken) of Colorado Springs, CO. Virginia has been blessed with 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her father, mother, 3 brothers (Harold Wayne, Donald, and Larry and one sister, Lorene). She has one surviving sister, Margie, of Farmersville, CA. Virginia started working at the Valley National Bank in 1965 in Casa Grande, AZ and moved to Prescott, AZ to continue working at VNB and was a professional teller winning Southern Arizona district 1986 Teller of the year in Tucson, AZ. She retired in 1990. Throughout her life, Virginia has been a devoted Christian. Virginia attended the Church of Christ. Her goal in her life was to go home to be with the Lord. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Ina Road Church of Christ, 2425 W. Ina Road, Tucson, AZ 85741. There is also a ‘give’ link to IRcofC: InaRoadChurch.com.
