PALUMBO, Vito Angelo, 89, of Lutz, Florida passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014. He was born in Washington, DC and moved to Florida in 2006. Vito served in the United States Army during World War II. He was the owner and president of A. Palumbo & Son Leather and Shoe Finding. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church and the American Legion, Post 217. Vito is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy; four daughters, Josephine (Donald) Gibson, Melinda (John) Quinn, Marianne (Ronald) Dameron and Victoria (Paul) Pellicer; five grandchildren, Phillip Poletti, Daniel Poletti, Stephanie Quinn, Melissa Dameron, and Laura Dameron, and six great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014 at St. Timothy Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, Maryland.
