Online Obituaries for Versailles KY VERSAILLES- W.T. 'Bill' Adkins, 82, husband of Brenda Joyce Adkins, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on August 14, 1934, the youngest son of Herbert and Jeanette Simpson Adkins. Mr. Adkins was a graduate of Miami of Ohio University where he received his B.S. degree and Chase College of Law where he received his J.D. Degree. He enjoyed many memberships over the years including the Versailles Lions Club, Pisgah Presbyterian Church, the Freemasons, Phi Alpha Delta, Fayette and Woodford Bar Associations. He was an A.F.R.O.T.C. and Army Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 67 Versailles, KY. Upon graduating from Law School, he joined the law firm Boehl Stopher and Graves in its Lexington office where he practiced over 30 years. He retired as Senior Managing Partner and was listed in 'The Best Lawyers in America' 1989 edition. In addition to his wife of 48 years, he is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Jeanette Adkins, Myrtle Beach, SC; his step son, Larry A. (Sherry) Aytes, Versailles; his granddaughters, Sydney Aytes, Versailles and Amber Aytes, Radcliff; his great grandchildren, Sharon, DJ, Lacy and Macy; his niece, Pamela Adkins (Ben) Benstead, PA; and his nephew, Jeffery Herbert (Susan) Adkins, MD; a great niece and several great nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Paul (Joan) Adkins. Funeral Information A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday November 26, 2016 from 11am until 1pm at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill.
