AHRENS, Walter J. “Pete,” 50, of Tampa, Florida, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was born in Wellsville, New York. Pete is preceded in death by his father, Robert M. “Bob” Ahrens, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Gertrude Valdes; siblings, Nancy A. Gray, Robert M. Ahrens, Jr., John Ahrens, Rose Barnes, Priscilla Ahrens, and Francine Breeding; and kitty cat Stripens. He was a fighter and fought many years to stay with his family. He was a loving son, brother, and friend. He will be truly missed. Donations in his memory may be made at www.aidshealth.org
