Walter Irvin Bevins, born in George’s Creek, Kentucky on November 19, 1936 to Irvin and Ollie (Fitch) Bevins. He went to Heaven on May 6, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by sons Matthew (Jennifer) and Brian (Sheena), sister Dean, and multiple grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Charlene and Elizabeth, plus two brothers North and Kenneth. Walter served in the Navy as an airplane mechanic. Walter retired from the Naval Shipyard in Charleston, SC. There will be a small memorial at his house at 3064 Maybank Highway on Johns Island on May 29, 2021 between the hours of 11 am and 6 pm.
