Walter F. DeVine, of National Park, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021, he was 100 years old. Legacy "Bud" as he was known, proudly served our country during WWII in the Army Air Corps. and was a "Fly Boy" before the Airforce was established. After the Army, he worked at the Camden Ship Yard and later the Philadelphia Navy Yard as a draftsman. He was very skilled in his craft and transitioned over as a Quality Control Inspector for the Bureau of Ships, traveling all over the world for the government. He retired after over 30 years of service. His job was to insure and inspect military ships prior to going out to sea. Bud was also a lifetime member of the National Guard and was proud to have his pilot's license. Family Beloved husband of the late Anna (Koenig); loving father of Carol Lockenmeyer (Late husband John), Allan DeVine (Sheila), Lynn Kelly (John), Michael DeVine (Carol), Patricia Rader (Shawn), Ed Spear (Sharon) and the late Debra DeVine; dear brother of Joseph Naphy (Nancy), Paul Naphy and Barbara Kramer; cherished grandfather of Ross Kelly (Katie), Cynthia Lex (Joe), Gregg Kelly (Allison), Andrew DeVine (Amanda), Shea Rader (Maria), Casey Rader and great grandfather of Olivia Lex, Ryan Kelly, Nora Kelly and Baby Girl Kelly, arriving in December. He will be missed by all of his many "Grand Fur Babies". Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Woodbury, 34 Hunter Street. Inurnment will follow at the Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
