Walter N. Harris, 81, passed away, August 21, 2010 in his wife's arms. A native of Chicago he was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a paratrooper. A retired structural engineer and business owner for 35 years in the Chicago area, he was internationally known for his four books the ""Billiard Atlas"". Walt was the director of the U.S. Billiard Assn., and helped promote Carom Corner and the Billiard's Professional Tour. He later created the U.S. Three Cushion Senior Tour. Walt loved jazz, golf, and excelled at chess. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeff Harris. Walt is survived by his loving wife, Johanna; daughter, Susan (Dave) Nelsen; brother, Ray (Betty) ; three grandchildren and nephews. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Noon, Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Church of Our Saviour Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach. You may sign Walter's guestbook at www.beckman-williamson.com.
