Walter E. Knox passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023 at age 87 after a lengthy battle with dementia. Born to Agnes and George Knox in Tarentum, Pennsylvania March 10, 1936. He had one brother George Knox, all 3 preceded him in death. He was enormously proud of his service, as are we, he served his country well. He married Joyce Knox in 1962 and they had 3 children together. He remarried in 1979 to Dorla Knox and they had the pleasure of spending 44 years together making special memories. After Military retirement they decided to move to Colorado. Walter was an avid hunter and fisherman and they both loved camping and the Colorado Rocky Mountains. He went back to work in Colorado as an electronics instructor at Colorado Aerotech from 1990-2007 when he officially retired for good. He enjoyed the job and formed great relationships with instructors and students. Sadly, he leaves behind his loving wife Dorla Knox, Tracy Plunk and husband Scott, Shannon Mullin and husband Paul, Darrin Knox and wife Lori. Stepchildren Vicki McFaul and husband Roger, Kevin Major, Connie Barthel and Randy Major. Also 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
