On December 8, 2020, Walter R. Nunn of Arlington Virginia, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 91. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Walter was born on January 30, 1929, in Colusa, California, to Charles and Margaret Nunn. He graduated from UC Berkley in 1957 and earned his PhD from George Washington University in 1972. He was called to serve his country in the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He and his wife Laura (Betsy) Nunn (Holshouser) were married for 52 years. He was blessed with seven children Kelly, Kamala, Harlan, Maggie and his three foster children, Hung, Lisa and Thuy, along with 11 grandchildren. Walter enjoyed folk dancing, playing Go, and music. Made time to coach youth soccer and teach English to non native speakers. Along with working as a statistician for a Naval Analysis group, he taught statistics in the Graduate School at George Washington University. Walter will be remembered in a small ceremony at St. Phillip Church in Falls Church, VA on Friday December 18, 2020 at 10:30 am. Followed by interment at Colombia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA at Noon.
