SMITH, Walter Eugene, 64, of Brooksville, Florida died Monday, December 18, 2006 at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He was born in Buffalo, NY on June 11, 1942, the son of Walter Leland and Mary (McKaig) Smith. He grew up in Hamburg, NY and graduated with a BS Degree from Union College in Barbourville, KY. He returned to Hamburg and taught Science in the local high school before moving to Medford, MA. He relocated to Campton, NH where he worked for Looke Enterprises before owning Herting's Garage. He moved to Brooksville in 1980 where he continued working as an auto mechanic until he retired in 2004. Family members include two sons, Randell L. Smith of Woolwich, ME, Corey C. Smith of Campton, NH; a daughter, Danielle Smith Veit of New Haven, CT; his sister, Gail Smith Wheaton of Hamburg, NY and four grandchildren.
