Walter Eugene Watts
February 5th, 1948 - September 18th, 2018
Walter Eugene Watts, age 70, died on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at his residence in Pine Grove, California. He was born on February 5, 1948 in Oakland, California to Jack LeRoy Watts and Dionisia Lordis Miller. Walter graduated from Hayward High School in June 1967 in Hayward, California. He then served in the 4th B.C.T. of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Walter was recognized for his outstanding service, including unwavering allegiance to his mission and diligent care of his military unit. On August 14, 1976 he married Julie Anne Watts. Together they had two sons and one daughter. During the span of his life, Walter was a welder, truck driver, and armored guard. Walter was a kid at heart to the very end, always light-hearted and silly around family. Just like his mother before him, he always enjoyed gardening and being in nature. Most of all, Walter’s faith in God, love for his family and three children meant everything to him. In the end, his life came full circle with the birth of his granddaughter Zara Joy Watts, whom he left behind. He also leaves behind his beloved children, Peter E. Watts, Nicholas E. Watts, Jolie C. Harding; brother, Jack L. Watts; sister, Nadine A. Davie; brother-in-law, Keith Davie; and many nieces and nephews. His celebration of life service will be held in a local church in Jackson, California. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul.” Psalm 23:1-3 NKJV
