Walter F. Werner, 87, loving father and grandfather, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011. Walt was born June30, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a US Navy pilot and then had a colorful broadcast career with NBC as technical director while residing in New Jersey. He retired in 1984 and moved to Cocoa Beach with his wife of 55 years Sophie, who passed away in 2007. Walt is survived by his daughter, Cindi Rocca (Glenn); grandsons, Glenn Jr. and Michael. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday August 27, 2011 at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Cocoa Beach. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection Building Fund, 525 Minuteman Cswy., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931.
